Omo Bello becomes a laureate of the Paris International Opera Competition.

In the just concluded Paris International Opera Competition, Omo Bello won the first prize in the general category, the French opera of the 19th century prize and the public prize.
Many thanks to all those who supported and encouraged her, as well as to the wonderful team of the competition, and all the members of the jury.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

The 7th of October is a memorable day as Omo Bello was awarded the 2013 Premio Internazionale "Arca d'Oro Giovanni Talenti".

Many thanks to the President of La Nuova Arca association, Armando Caruso, the artistic director, Sonia Franzese, Maestro Gianandrea Noseda and all the honorary members of La Nuova Arca Association for this highly distinguished prize.

IT'S FINALLY OUT!!!!

Ms. Bello's debut album is released.
For her first album, she chose "Lieder" from Gustav Mahler's "Des Knaben wunderhorn", some of which have rarely been recorded. Omo Bello reveals facets of her talent ranging from laughter to tears, while passing through petulance, satire, melancholy and magic.

Omo Bello jumps in to sing the soprano solo in J.S. Bach's "Magnificat in D" at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Paris.

With only 24 hours notice, Ms. Bello learnt the soprano solo part of the sublime "Magnificat in D" by J.S. Bach, jumping in to replace an ill singer, and making an anticipated debut at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris. She is re-invited to the opera house to sing "Egmont" by Beethoven and "Italiana in Algeri" by Rossini for the 2013/ 2014 season!

Omo Bello makes her concert debut with the Radio France philharmonic orchestra

Her debut recital with the Radio France philharmonic orchestra was of lesser known concert arias of the classical composer Giulio Bajamonti, conducted by spanish conductor Jaime Martin. It was recorded live and broadcasted on the radio station France Musique

Omo Bello makes house debut at the Opéra national de montpellier singing Barbarina.... then Contessa!

Omo Bello's debut at the Montpellier opera house as Barbarina was surprisingly to much critical acclaim, especially for such a «small» role! (see PRESS for details). She then sang the role of the Countess on tour with the production team and cast to the cities of Nîmes and Perpignan. She will be returning to Montpellier in 2014 to sing the role of Countess.

 



Omo Bello sings the French national anthem, La Marseillaise

Ms. Bello gave a touching rendition of the French national anthem during the ceremony commemorating the 68th anniversary of the Liberation of Paris, accompanied by the Orchestre des gardiens de la Paix. She sang in the presence of the French minister of the interior, Manuel Valls, the Prefect of Police, Bernard Boucault and the Mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoë.
